Recovery rate in Cagayan de Oro down at 79.64%

THE recovery rate in Cagayan de Oro has gone down to 79.64 percent despite the city recording 104 Covid-19 recoveries.

The total number of those who have recovered from the disease is now at 4,921.

Of the 4,921 recoveries, 313 were locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 124 were returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs), and 4,484 were local cases (community: 3,813; Apors: 671).

As of 10 p.m. of May 19, 78 residents of the city tested positive for the novel coronavirus, 33 were local cases with link, 10 were local persons outside residence (Apors), 32 were local index cases, one person deprived of liberty, and two deaths, according to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery.

The total number of confirmed cases in Cagayan de Oro is now at 6,179.

Of the 6,179 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 438 were under the ROFs/LSIs category and 5,741 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 998 active cases, 246 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 752 were outpatients.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 260.
