BACOLOD City Councilor Ayesha Joy Villaflor warned travelers or authorized persons outside residence (Apor) not to submit fake reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result in the city.

This came after a 38-year-old man, an Apor from Cebu City, submitted a fake result of RT-PCR test Tuesday, May 25, to the office of Villaflor.

Villaflor, chairman of Apor, said based on the document submitted by the 38-year-old man, it showed that he underwent swab test on May 31, 2021 and its result was released on June 1.

“He submitted his negative swab test result, but it’s fake,” she said.

She added they will submit a complaint to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to determine if he really underwent a swab test.

Villaflor noted that in previous months, they also received fake results of RT-PCR test and their applications were also canceled or denied.

Villaflor said the 38-year-old Apor, an employee of a mall company in Cebu, was already informed about his application.

“Those who submitted a fake RT-PCR test result will not be allowed to travel. We canceled their application,” Villaflor said.

She said they will also coordinate with the company of the Apor who submitted a fake RT-PCR test result.

Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr., officer-in-charge of the City Health Office, earlier said Bacolod is already implementing the use of the Safe, Swift and Smart Passage (S-PaSS) Travel Management System, a one-stop online communication and coordination platform for travelers and local government units (LGUs).

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) earlier said the S-PaSS is a platform where travelers could access the LGUs’ policies and submit the required documents.
