From New Jersey in the US, I got a sad e-mail from my friend Rafael Villongco, who once had worked with the late June Keithley in promoting the messages of Marian apparitions worldwide, informing me of the death of his close friend, Brazilian mystic Edson Glauber after a brief terminal illness.
I thus ask readers to say even just a brief prayer for the repose of the soul of Edson. Since Raffy (as I call Rafael) is himself with some illness, I also ask readers to also pray for his cure, as the world needs more urgently people like him who have continued to spread the urgent messages from Heaven.
I have cited Edson Glauber a few times in this column. He and his mother Maria started experiencing the supernatural in 1994 in their village called Itaparanga in a remote periphery of the Amazon jungle in Brazil
Their archbishop declared as supernatural their mystic experiences covering at least the first four years. But their experiences, which included apparitions of the Blessed Mother, went on even beyond 1998.
Noted the website spiritdaily.com: “a crucial plea from Mary: to pray for the alleviation of coming chastisements instead of waiting with anticipation and for the conversion of those who have fallen into darkness.”
A notable message from the Blessed Mother was also given to Edson on Dec. 17, 2012: “My children, you live in a world that has chosen to no longer be united with God. Many no longer are interested in the things of Heaven but live only for the world and the kingdom of darkness. Abandon the wrong things! Do not let Satan destroy everything good that is in you. This is the time of grace; Heaven comes to earth to call men to a life change. I’ve been to many places in the world to invite them to conversion. Who really wants to hear the cry of my pleas? Who wants to walk this road that leads to Heaven? The road that I [point to] demands sacrifice and strong detachments; it is a road where those who want to serve the Lord do not think of themselves but the good of their neighbors, knowing to help and serve them.
“It is a road of giving and service and not a path where you want to be served... It is a holy highway, which helps those on it overcome the deceptions and vanities of the world.
“Everything that Satan offers is illusion and deception, my children, always remember that. His deceptions and illusions lead to eternal death. Those who let themselves be seduced by him are in danger of never seeing the ever-merciful Face of God, because the enemy is acting in these times with great fury and malice against the children of God.
“Do not give in! Do not be blinded by the devil. Fight with all your might against the kingdom of darkness and against all evil. Welcome my messages in your hearts and my Son Jesus will give you the strength and grace of the Holy Spirit. My Son will give to those [who follow the holy path] drink of the living waters that quenches all the needs of the soul and He gives them to eat of the Bread of Life that satisfies the spiritual hunger that wants to [harm] them and cause them to fall into sin.
“I love all and I tell you with my heart full of blessings and graces of God: love them also because the person who loves has no fear of the future and will see the shining glory of the Lord when He reveals His merciful Face to the world.
“In love, there is no fear nor eternal death, but peace and hope to many hearts. In love is my Divine Son and the victory over death and sin. In love, you will find the true meaning to your lives and all of God’s Will. I bless you: in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen!” (End of quote)
I believe that Edson, like the late Garabandal visionary Mari Loli Mazon and the famous Emily Rose whose diabolical possession was made into a movie, was a “victim soul.” Such should belong to persons who voluntarily and with full volition gave up their lives- the ultimate sacrifice- to save the souls of others from eternal damnation. In the case of Emily Rose, it is said that before she died, the Blessed Mother appeared to her to ask whether she would prefer to be delivered from diabolical possession and live on normally or be a victim of possession up to death so as to save wayward people, and she opted for the latter.
Meanwhile, the Blessed Mother had another message conveyed through Pedro Regis on May 22, 2021, as follows:
“Dear children, I am your Mother and I love you. Be obedient to my call and testify everywhere that you belong to my Son Jesus. Open your hearts to the action of the Holy Spirit and you will be rich in faith. You are living in a time of pain and the moment has come for your return. Do not live in sin. God is making haste. Do not leave what you need to do until tomorrow.
“ My Jesus awaits you with open arms. Courage. When everything seems lost, great joy will arise for you. Remain by my side and I will take you on a safe path. You are living in a time worse than the time of the Flood. Men have defied the Creator and are walking like the blind leading the blind. Do not allow the flame of faith to be extinguished within you.
A great darkness is approaching and many of the consecrated will fall. I suffer because of what comes to you. Be attentive. This is the message that I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed Me to gather you here once again. I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace.”
