Apaliteño student pilot killed in plane crash

APALIT - An aviation student from this municipality died after the plane he was piloting crashed in La Union on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old student pilot of First Aviation Academy in Subic Bay International Airport identified as Mark Irvin Sabile was a resident of Barangay Paligui of this town.

Based on the report from Philippine Coast Guard, the Tecnam P-2010 aircraft piloted by the victim crashed in waters off Caba, La Union.

The victim was reportedly flying solo from Iba Airport in the province of Zambales, en route to La Union Airport and Lingayen Airport, then back to Iba Airport.

The student pilot was rushed to the Caba Municipal Health Office but was declared dead by an attending physician.
