Pedicab drivers, urban poor get assistance from board member

BOARD Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab made the rounds again Friday, May 28, to visit urban poor communities and various vulnerable sectors in the City of San Fernando, Minalin, Santo Tomas and San Luis.

She delivered food packs and the assurance that the Province will always look at the needs of the vulnerable sectors amid the pandemic.

Cayabyab visited scavenger communities in the City of San Fernando’s Barangay Lara, as well as pedicab drivers and solor parents of Barangay Saguin.

She brought with her food packs and consulted with local community leaders on how to further assist vulnerable communities amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

She also checked on the status of solo parents in Santo Tomas town, as well as those in nearby Minalin.

She capped her tour of vulnerable communities with a visit to health workers, tanods and solo parents of San Luis town.

Cayabyab said the Provincial Government and her family will continuously look after the welfare of vulnerable sectors especially during this pandemic that had affected the livelihood and lives of so many from the urban poor sector.
