Kagay-anons to wait for IATF announcement on city's quarantine status

KAGAY-ANONS were advised to wait for the official announcement from the National Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) regarding the quarantine status of Cagayan de Oro.

This, after a post circulated on social media about the new quarantine classification of the city. The said post showed that Cagayan de Oro will be placed under modified enhanced community quarantine starting June 1 to 30, 2021.

"Suko lang kaayo nga naay mga fake news gi-post sa mga trolls," Cagayan de City Mayor Oscar Moreno said during the daily press briefing at the city hall on Saturday, May 29.

"The fact nga they have the gall to do that. Incomprehensible. Lisod sabton nga naay mga tao nga makahuna-huna pa niana," he added.

The city mayor said that rather than doing black propaganda, it is time for the people of Cagayan de Oro to unite.

"Now is the time, in fact, to unite our people. Now is the time for all of us to come together," Moreno said.

In his program on Friday night, Moreno mentioned that he did not receive any documents from the National IATF regarding a change in the community quarantine classification of the city.

"The last that we should allow to happen is divide our people. Dapat magtinabangay kita," Moreno said.
