CLARK Development Corporation (CDC) recently announced that preparations for Covid-19 vaccination for workers and residents of Clark Freeport are underway.
In a meeting with the members of the Metro Clark Advisory Council (MCAC), CDC President and Chief Executive Officer Manuel Gaerlan shared that arrangements were already made with the Department of Health (DOH) in Central Luzon and the local government of Mabalacat City for the Covid-19 vaccination program in this freeport.
Gaerlan said the CDC is still working to facilitate the availability of vaccines and get authorization from the DOH-Central Luzon as a vaccination site.
For her part, CDC Health and Sanitation Division Manager Dr. Clemencita Dobles mentioned that they have identified two hospitals in Clark as vaccination sites. These are the Medical City-Clark and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center–Clark.
Areas within the One-Stop Processing Center were also identified as vaccination sites.
To successfully implement the Clark Covid vaccination program, CDC has requested its locators to submit a list of its workers who would like to be inoculated.
A company access code was also given by CDC. This was sent to the email addresses of Clark locators registered on their Clark Freeport Zone Jobs Portal Account. Using the company code, locators may log in to the link provided on the memorandum circular issued by the state-owned firm.
Clark residents including senior citizens and those with comorbidities who would like to receive their vaccination in Clark are also included in the program.
During the meeting, it was mentioned that under the ongoing vaccination program of Mabalacat City, a total of 291 frontline personnel in Clark were already vaccinated as of May 24, 2021.
These individuals belong to priority groups such as those working at the New Clark City quarantine facilities, CDC’s Health and Sanitation Division, and health workers from Locator’s clinic including the Clark International Airport Corporation and the Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corporation.
CDC continuously coordinates with the members of the MCAC composed of MCAC Co-Chairman and Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., Porac Municipal Mayor Jaime Capil, Bamban Municipal Mayor Jose Antonio Feliciano, and Capas Municipal Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan, to develop more programs that will help the economy recuperate from the effects of the pandemic and bring more opportunities for communities within and near the freeport.
