THE Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Bfar) 7 - Regional Fisheries Training and Fisherfolk Coordination Division held a two-day seminar on simple bookkeeping and accounting with members of fisherfolk group Kilusang Pagbabago in Barangay Taba-ao, Tabogon, Cebu.

Participating in the activity were the nine officers of the fisherfolk association, which is the recent recipient of the set net fish trap project, locally known as “lambaklad.”

The training, which ran from May 19 to 21, 2021, was done in coordination with the Bfar 7 - Cebu Provincial Fishery Office and the Agriculture’s Office of the Tabogon Municipal Government.

The Bfar 7 aims to teach fisherfolk groups in accounting thoroughly their revenue and in handling and managing properly their finances to make sure that a fair share is left to keep the project going.
