Cop from Cebu City shot dead

A POLICEMAN who was accompanied by a woman on board a motorcycle was shot dead by an unidentified gunman on Saturday morning, May 29, 20201, along the National Highway of Barangay Dakit in Barili town, Cebu.

The policeman was identified as Police Master Sergeant Raymund Zozobrado, 40, a resident of Mambaling, Cebu City, and assigned to work in Guihulngan, Negros Oriental.

He was identified by Police Major Romeo Caacoy Jr.

Caacoy said that Zozobrado was driving his Nmax motorcycle with Vanessa Go Tura, 30, a resident of Mohon, Talisay City, as his passenger.

According to Caacoy, the unidentified gunman on board a Toyota Innova with plate number 8735 shot the victim.

After the victim fell, the gunman’s vehicle sped to Carcar City.

Caacoy immediately called police stations to set up a blocking force. As of this writing, there have been no updates yet on this initiative.
