CITY of San Fernando Mayor Edwin Santiago expressed his gratitude to the Catholic Church and its members as the city peacefully celebrated the feast of its patron saint, Saint Ferdinand, on May 30, 2021 at the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Santiago extended his appreciation to the church’s support of the local government’s activities and programs.
“Ing kapasalamatan, bibye mi rin pu uling balang misa, aabe ye pu karing prayer intentions yu ing operasyon ning lokal a gobiernu at ing balaus a tapat a pamagserbisyu da ring manungkulan,” he said.

The local government unit, through its different offices and agencies, celebrated this year’s Pyestang Fernandino by conducting several social activities, such as livelihood grants awarding, vegetable seeds and seedlings distribution dubbed as “Community Plantry,” and online job fair, among others.
These programs aim to help Fernandino families recover from the economic effects of Covid-19 and create opportunities for them to start anew.
Meanwhile, Most Reverend Florentino Lavarias enjoined all Fernandinos to live in love and service for each other as “life remains a mystery” vis-a-vis the Covid-19 pandemic. (PR)
