Simonian solo parents, PWDs get aid

RESIDENTS of San Simon in Pampanga recently received assistance from the provincial and national government.

Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab led on Thursday, May 27, the distribution of grocery packs to some 600 solo parents under the Pandemic Assistance Program for Kapampangan families.

Pineda-Cayabyan has been visiting different communities in the province to bring aid to Kapampangan families, especially those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, around 600 persons with disabilities and senior citizens from San Simon also received cash assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development through Fourth District Representative Juan Pablo Bondoc.

Each beneficiary received P3,000 to P5,000 assistance, which are intended for the purchase of their maintenance medicines.

Mayor Abundio Punsalan Jr. expressed gratitude to Pineda-Cayabyab and Bondoc for providing to his kabalens.

He said their assistance to Simonians boost the local government social programs intended to uplift their lives.

"San Simon is always grateful for the concern, love and care of both Pineda and Bondoc family to Simonians, and their support to my administration. Through them, we are able to reach and assist needy Simonians," he said.
