DEATHS due to coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Central Luzon have reached 2,608, according to the latest bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH).
This, as the total confirmed cases in the region have reached a total of 109,774.
For May 31 alone, 753 new cases have been recorded in the region.
Of the confirmed cases, 7,030 are still active.
Some 100,136, of the confirmed cases have since recovered.
Bulacan had the greatest number of confirmed cases with 46,043. Pampanga ranked second with 21,053, while Nueva Ecija recorded some 11,686 cases.
Some 8,810 new cases have been recorded in Central Luzon, according to the DOH.
Of the 176 health facilities in the region, 54.3 percent of the available beds are currently occupied.
