Literatus: ‘Pandemic’ fact check: Conclusion

To conclude, let us go back this week where we left off two months ago in fact-checking the 2020 independent investigative film, “Plandemic: Indoctornation.” Most media outlets labelled the film content as a “conspiracy theory,” which supposedly promotes misinformation particularly of the Covid-19 pandemic. What falls flat in the claim of “conspiracy theory” and “misinformation” is the mysterious and the impeccable timing of the Oct. 18, 2019 scripted simulation in Event 201, which described closely the Covid-19 pandemic that erupted in China in December 2019 three months later.

Event 201 was a project of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (JHCHS), a think tank that conducts policy research and provides recommendations to the United States government, the United Nations Biological Weapons Convention, and the World Health Organization (WHO). The October 2019 event was a partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Economic Forum.

It must be noted that the China declaration of the Covid-19 breakout could have been delayed by state censorship until the event could not be hidden from the world in December 2019. This means that the breakout could have occurred a few months earlier. The big question that was never answered: Did the convenors of the October 2019 Event 201 know what was happening in China long before the simulation event took place?

It was either the scientific premonition was accurate or an advanced knowledge of the unreported events in China existed. However, the evidence so far fact checked in the film represents strong indicators, not direct evidence. It is clear though that the coronavirus, if patented which it is, then is not a natural microorganism based on the United States patenting law. Thus, any claim that coronaviruses, including Sars-CoV-2, are natural organisms is false.

Experts in the field, other than Judy Mikovitz, also supported the fact that coronaviruses are not naturally occurring. The film interviewed experts such as Meryl Nass, M.D. (internal medicine, Alliance for Human Research Protection) and Prof. Luc Montagnier (virologist, recipient of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University).

The rest of the film pursued investigation on the underlying links of coronavirus production and vaccination to personalities in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, WHO and Bill Gates. These subjects, however, will not be within the scope of this fact checking effort because of the clear video evidence presented. It is up to the viewers to agree or disagree with the arguments presented in the film.

However, one thing should be clear for Filipinos: The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic among us, particularly the recent surge, can become an excuse to impose authoritarian policies. Do not provide an excuse for these policies by ignoring our obligation to observe safety protocols to prevent the spread of the disease in our respective communities.
