THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) terminated the heavy rainfall warning over Cebu and eight other areas Wednesday morning, June 2, 2021.
The weather bureau also lifted storm Signal Number 1 over Northern and Central Cebu.
Pagasa terminated the heavy rainfall warning issued early Wednesday morning in its 11 a.m. weather bulletin over Eastern Samar, Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Biliran Island, Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental.
The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council concerned are still advised to monitor the weather condition, Pagasa said.
Tropical Storm Dante is now moving northwestward and is approaching the eastern coast of Oriental Mindoro.
As of 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dante was over the northwestern coastal waters of Romblon or 115 kilometers southeast of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
