Nanghinaot si Agriculture Secretary William Dar nga di na magdugay pa ang pagkuyanap sa African Swine Fever (ASF) sa nasud karon nga aduna na’y mga bakuna nga gipaubos sa clinical trial batok sa sakit.
Kini maoy gipahibaw ni Dar atol sa pakighinabi sa mga tigbalita atol sa iyang pagbisita sa Hunyo 3, 2021.
“Ang kagandandahan ay may dalawang ASF vaccines na developed by US so this is what I see as the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully, with the vaccine properly tested and if proven effective, we will have a nationwide vaccination program for the hogs,” matod ni Dar sa Hunyo 3.
“On top of the vaccine, mayroon ng dalawang anti-viral products developed by Filipinos under testing as well. So pag makita na natin na may signs while the vaccination testing is done, mayroong possibility na ma-disinfect using these two antiviral products,” matod ni Dar.
