Active Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro now at 1,584

THE number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro has reached 1,584.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, June 8, the City Health Office recorded 102 new cases, 32 of which are local cases with link, 11 are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 56 are local index cases, and three deaths.

This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 8,139.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 8,139 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 440 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 7,699 cases were local transmissions.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, were composed of 373 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,210 outpatients, and one LSI.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 69 Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 6,191, with a 76 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 313 were LSIs, 124 were ROFs, and 5,754 were local cases (community: 4,835; Apors: 919).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 364.
