Additional 39 rooms for Oro's TTMF to accommodate Covid-positive patients

A TOTAL of 39 rooms with the bed capacity of 87 beds were added at Cagayan de Oro's temporary treatment and monitoring facility (TTMF) to accommodate Covid-positive patients who are under home quarantine.

According to City Mayor Oscar Moreno, Covid-positive patients who are under home quarantine are the most identifiable candidates of local transmissions.

"Hopefully, makadugang kini (the additional rooms) para sa atong pag address sa home quarantine kay medyo ga samot og bug-at ang atong problema sa home quarantine," Moreno said.

"Kanang naa sa home quarantine are the most identifiable nga candidates sa transmission. Maka trigger gyud na sila og transmission," he added.

As of 10 p.m. of June 8, Cagayan de Oro recorded 147 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases. Moreno said that among these new Covid-positive individuals, more or less 87 are still in home quarantine.

The total Covid-positive patients still in home quarantine is now at 309. There are also the 74 positive cases staying in the city isolation unit (CIU) needed to be transferred to the city's TTMF.

"I hope na ang ato gyung TTMF and CIU maka responde sa unsay kinahanglan apil na ang atong extraction team and we need to also do some other things to improve our efficiency and also to ensure nga ang atong mga nasabutan nga pamaagi para mapaspas ang extraction maimplement na as soon as possible," Moreno said.
