Confirmed Covid cases in Central Luzon reach 115,149; deaths climb to 2,795

THE total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Central Luzon reached a total of 115,149, as some 648 new cases have been recorded from different provinces of the region on Monday, June 7, 2021.

Of the total number, the Department of Health’s (DOH) official Covid-19 Tracker shows 105,140 cases as recoveries. The tracker also showed that some 7,214 cases as still active, while some 2,795 cases have died of the virus.

Most of the deaths were registered in Bulacan with 911 deaths, Pampanga with 715 deaths, Nueva Ecija with 337 deaths, and Tarlac with 250 deaths. In Angeles City alone, the DOH recorded 204 mortalities.

Some 47 deaths have been recorded in Pampanga in the last 14 days, which is the highest in Central Luzon for the said cumulative period.

For the whole of Central Luzon, some 158 new deaths have been recorded in the last 14 days.

Of the 1,271 health facilities in the region, 49 percent of all available beds were occupied for Covid patients.
