Cagayan de Oro logs 125 more Covid-19 cases

THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro reported on Thursday, June 10, 125 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 8,411.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said that of the 125 new cases, 34 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 17 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), 69 were local index cases, and five mortalities.

Among the 8,411 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 441 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 7,970 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 1,611 active cases, 388 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,222 were outpatients, and one was an ROF.

The city also registered 138 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 6,423, with 76.36 percent recovery rate.

Of the figure, 315 were LSIs, 124 were ROFs, and 5,984 were local cases (community: 5,040; Apors: 944).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 377.
