Typhoon victims get financial aid

THE Provincial Government of Pampanga distributed financial assistance to families affected by Typhoon Ulysses in 2020.

The distribution was led by Pampanga First District Board Member Cherry Manalo, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office chief Angelina Blanco, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Head Elizabeth Baybayan to 59 families affected by the Ulysses in November 2020.

The families received P660,000 in financial assistance.

The financial assistance aims to help the said families recover from the recent calamity.

Typhoon Ulysses, which hit Luzon in early November 2020, left some P126.03 million worth of damages to agricultural products in the province. This was aside from the hundreds of families who were evacuated due to flooding. Some homes were also damaged.

The aid distributed was part of Governor Dennis Pineda's Emergency Shelter Assistance program.
