ALMOST 250 local jobs are up for grabs at the online job fair in Eastern Visayas in celebration of the 123rd anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day Saturday, June 12, 2021.
“To our jobseekers, please grab this opportunity to get employed through our online job fair. Even when we are still in a pandemic, we are doing everything we can to assist you”, said Henry John Jalbuena, director of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the region.
To join the online event, all interested applicants just need to access https://www.mynimo.com/dole8.
The job postings are coming from eight participating employers namely, DOLE-Regional Office, Citi Hardware Naval, Chuliante Group of Companies, Bertahan Distribution Corporation, LCTC Allied Service, Dranix Distribution, Ormoc Doctors Hospital and River Valley Distribution Inc.
The listed local job vacancies include interns, service technicians, merchandisers, accounting staff, salesmen, call center agents, nurses, medical technologist, radiologic technician, dietitian, plumber, drivers and warehouse checker.
“Aside from preparing their respective resumes and other requirements, I advise our applicants to secure a strong internet connection considering this is an online activity,” Jalbuena said.
According to the labor official, the simultaneous nationwide job fair is also in partnership with different online job portals.
In Eastern Visayas, the agency has partnered with Mynimo in the conduct of the virtual job fair for jobseekers in the region.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration in the region said that there were eight recruitment agencies with 2,136 job orders for abroad which signified to join the online event.
However, due to some technical constraints, the agencies were not able to register in the online portal, DOLE-Eastern Visayas said in a statement.
These agencies include Ascend International Services, Billboard Promotions Inc., Catalist International Manpower Services Co., ERRX Recruitments Consulting, IUPP, Maanyag International Manpower, MMML Recruitment Services and Non-Stop Overseas Employment Corp.
According to DOLE-Eastern Visayas, applicants interested in overseas jobs may still apply at the respective offices of the said agencies. (SunStar Philippines)
