AN ESTIMATED P15,000 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 4 in Bacolod Pension, 11th Street, Barangay 7, Bacolod City Monday afternoon, June 14.
The operation also led to the arrest of Marlon Verdeprado, 48, of Florence Ville, Barangay Pahanocoy.
Police records showed the suspect was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover around 5:30 p.m.
Police recovered from Verdeprado's possession six sachets of shabu weighing 2. 15 grams and the P500 marked money.
The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 4. He will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, a teenager was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 10 in Purok Pukatod, Barangay Felisa, Bacolod City Monday evening, June 14.
Police identified the suspect as Kyle Justine Silivas, 19, of Barangay Handumanan.
Police records showed the suspect was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant for the crime of frustrated homicide.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Phobe Gargantiel-Balbin of Regional Trial Court, Branch 41, Bacolod City.
The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 10 for failure to post his bail of P72,000 for his temporary liberty.
