A SIMULTANEOUS vaccination activity is set all over the province in all 31 towns and cities in the province on June 17 and 18, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Tuesday, June 15, 2021.

Diaz said this is part of the measures that will be implemented in the province and agreed upon during the meeting of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson with the mayors.

"Last time, it was relaxed a little bit. Last time, we allowed our LGUs (local government units) to take their time, convince, and educate people to be vaccinated but now, the national government is giving regular doses of vaccines to the province. We cannot go full step behind in the vaccination schedule and program of the national government," Diaz said.

As of Tuesday, June 15, Negros Occidental has about 13,000 doses of Sinovac at the Capitol's disposal.

Diaz said the governor will disseminate through a memorandum that all LGUs will be given from the 13,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines based on their population from Category A1 to A3.

"We set a schedule for every LGU to prepare their vaccination venue, vaccination team, and their respective vaccinees. Upload it to the DOH, give us the list of vaccinees, and then on the day of the vaccination, ambulances will be assigned to deliver the vaccine to the LGU. We will also assign a nurse to oversee the vaccination program scheduled for the day. When the ambulance that will deliver the vaccines arrive and the LGU has not made the preparations, the vaccines will not be released," Diaz said.

After the vaccination, the waste materials will be collected after decontamination and will be brought back to the DOH for proper disposal.

"We want to get rid of the problems encountered before," Diaz added.

He earlier said that there were LGUs who were not able to use the vaccines intended for them.

Reporting of the vaccination program will be updated because we will have our observers of the vaccination program of the LGUs, Diaz said.
