Barmm inoculates 55,500 individuals

THE Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-Barmm) announced that the ministry already administered 55,558 vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) among its priority groups, as of Monday, June 14, 2021.

Dr. Bashary Latiph, minister of health, said 41,899 of the 55,558 inoculated individuals received their first dose while 13,659 have already completed their first and second doses.

Latiph reiterated that people in the priority groups should get vaccinated as part of the ways to fight the pandemic.

“I encourage all our constituents especially those included in the A1, A2, A3, and A4 [groups] to get vaccinated,” Latiph said.

The A1 priority group comprise of the health care workers and front-liners while the A2 the senior citizens and the A3 are persons with comorbidities aged 18 to 69 and the A4 include frontline workers in other essential sectors including uniformed personnel.

Meanwhile, Latiph said the region’s supply of vaccines will suffice the demands for the priority groups.

He said Barmm received a total of 85,400 doses of vaccines since March. (SunStar Zamboanga)
