Over 9,000 get 2nd dose of Covid-19 vaccines in Bacolod

A TOTAL of 9,659 persons in Bacolod City already received their second doses of Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines against coronavirus disease (Covid-19) from March 5 to June 15, 2021.

Emergency Operations Center (EOC) records showed from March 5 to June 15, EOC-Task Force and the Covid-19 Vaccination Council (CoVaC), already administered a total of 45,494 doses of Covid-19 vaccines.

Of the number 21,232 doses were AstraZeneca vaccines,and 24,262 doses were Sinovac vaccines.

The City Government earlier received an additional 17,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines from the national government. It resumed the vaccination rollout in various barangays in the city from June 14 to 23.

The vaccination will resume on Friday, June 18, in Barangays 38 (Mabini), Barangay 39 (Libertad and Lopez Jaena), Alijis, Bata, Punta Taytay, Singcang-Airport, Sum-ag, Villamonte, Vista Alegre, and Taculing.

On June 21, the vaccination will also resume in ETCS Cluster and Barangay Tangub; on June 22 in Villa Esperanza (Tangub); and on June 23 in Barangay Cabug.

Aside from these barangays, the City has an ongoing vaccination at SMX Convention Center in SM City and Ayala Malls Capitol Central from Mondays to Fridays.

The vaccination rollout covers Bacolod residents belonging to priority groups A1 - frontline health care workers, A2-senior citizens, and A3 -adults with comorbidities.

The City will accommodate only those who have completed their vaccination registration and have received a call or text from the Emergency Operations Center of their confirmed appointments.
