POLICE arrested a 23-year-old jobless man after he stabbed and killed his mother in San Policarpo, Eastern Samar Thursday, June 17, 2021.
The suspect, Jerick Ortillad, stabbed his 54-year-old mother, Luz, while she was sitting inside their residence in Barangay Binogwan, San Policarpo around 8 a.m. Thursday.
The suspect immediately approach her mother and without any apparent reason stabbed the victim using a kitchen knife, according to the police.
The victim sustained one stabbed wound on the left portion of her chest resulting in her instantaneous death.
Authorities are investigating the incident. (SunStar Philippines)
