Covid-19 deaths in Central Luzon reach 3,033

THE total number of Covid-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic in Central Luzon last March 2020 has now reached 3,033 cases, latest data of the Department of Health (DOH) showed.

The DOH said the most number of deaths have been recorded in Bulacan, which now has 952 deaths, followed by Pampanga with 760 recorded deaths. Angeles City alone had recorded 216 deaths.

Other provinces with significant number of deaths include Nueva Ecija with 373 deaths and Tarlac with 290 deaths as of Monday, July 21.

Some 157 deaths have been recorded in Central Luzon in the last 14 days.

The total number of confirmed cases in Central Luzon has reached a total of 122,494 cases. For June 19 alone, 707 new cases were recorded from all over the region. There are currently 5,583 active cases in Central Luzon, according to the DOH.

The DOH placed the number of recovered cases to 113,878 of the total number of confirmed cases.

The region’s current hospital bed capacity is currently at 47 percent with 16,712 of hospital beds currently occupied from the total 35,037 available beds in the 1, 270 health facilities of the region.
