The First Infantry “Tabak” Division, the premier command of the Philippine Army, has accorded recognition to two female officers during the Monday flag-raising ceremony in Camp Major Cesar Sang-an in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
Accorded recognition were Captain Mary Jephte Mañebog, who will be designated as the new Public Affairs Office (PAO) chief, and Second Lieutenant Cheeven Kate Ocden, who was promoted to the next higher rank.
Major General Generoso Ponio, First Infantry Division commander, officially welcomed Mañebog as the newly designated POA chief and donned the new rank to Ocden.
Mañebog has replaced Captain Clint Antipala, who was recently assigned to the Philippine Army Civil-Military Operation Regiment.
Major Malvin Ligutan has served in acting capacity before Ponio has named Mañebog as the replacement of Antipala. (SunStar Zamboanga)
