4 firms receive Safety Seal award

BUSINESS establishments in Central Visayas were awarded with the first safety seal by the Department of Trade and Industry Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

This, in a bid to boost consumer confidence.

DTI Cebu awarded its first Safety Seal to The Market Place, Robinsons Galleria Cebu, Cebu City.

This is during the joint awarding ceremony by Safety Seal component agencies led by DOLE 7 Dir. Salome Siaton with DTI 7 Dir. Ma. Elena Arbon, DOT 7 Dir. Shalimar Hofer Tamano and DILG 7 Dir. Leocadio Trovela.

“We are awarding these [Safety] seals to business establishments for the safely re-opening of the economy and to re-establish consumer confidence,” Arbon said.

The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with StaySafe.ph.

DOLE Region VII has awarded its first Safety Seal to Cebu Link Joint Venture for its Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) project while DOT Region VII has awarded its accredited establishment, Bai Hotel.

Bruno's Barbers on its branch in SM City Cebu (Official) also received their seal from DTI on the same day. (JOB)
