Ang tulo ka mga mayor sa kalungsoran sa isla sa Bantayan mapasalamaton sa suporta ni Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go ug Presidente Rodrigo Duterte sa pagpalambo sa Bantayan Airport sa lungsod sa Sta. Fe, isla sa Bantayan, lalawigan sa Sugbo.
Si Go nipadayag og suporta ug nihangop sa pagpangayo og funding assistance gikan sa Mactan-Cebu International Aiport Authority (MCIAA) alang sa pagpalambo sa Bantayan Airport.
“Ipinapahayag ko po ang aking buong suporta sa pagbibigay ng pondo upang i-develop ang Bantayan Airport sa Bantayan Island. Sigurado pong malaki ang maitutulong nito upang mapaunlad pa lalo ang turismo sa lugar na makapagbibigay ng hanapbuhay sa ating mga kababayan doon,” matod ni Go.
Ang MCIAA nihangyo sa Department of Budget and Management ug sa Department of Transportation alang sa funding assistance nga P154 million sa naasoy nga katuyoan.

“Sta. Fe, which is known for its white, powdery beach, has yet to maximize its full potential. While it has been drawing tourists, mostly locals, Sta. Fe has long hoped to get its fair share of tourists, local and international, just like the other leading tourist destinations in the country,” dason ni Espinosa.
Si Bantayan Mayor Arthur Despi mapasalamaton usab ug naglaum nga dunay direct flights sa airport sa isla.
“The tourists will no longer spend the travel from Manila to (Mactan) Cebu, (Mactan) Cebu to Bantayan, it will be Manila to Bantayan, or Hong Kong to Bantayan or wherever..” matod ni Despi.
Samtang, si Madridejos Mayor Salvador dela Fuente nagkanayon nga “we really support the Bantayan Airport for the economic development sa Bantayan. Mas mokusog kanang mo-open na gyud ang Bantayan Airport...”
“As a probinsyano, I know that these infrastructure projects will pave the way for the development of the provinces, boost economic opportunities and investment in the countryside,” matod ni Go. (PR)
