42 businesses in Central Luzon get DTI safety seals

DOZENS of business establishments in Central Luzon have received their safety seal markers from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) regional office.

DTI-Central Luzon Director Leonila Baluyut said the regional office has already received 135 Safety Seal applications from various businesses in the region.

From the said number of applications, 42 were already approved by DTI, said Baluyut.

Thirteen businesses are from Pampanga and Tarlac each, 10 from Bulacan, six from Zambales, and one from Bataan.

Majority of the establishments approved by DTI were groceries, supermarkets and shopping clubs, as well as a hardware store, and service and repair shop.

Baluyut continued to encourage business owners to apply and get their Safety Seal markers as assurance to their clienteles of the safety in their establishment.

The Safety Seal Certification program is an Inter-Agency Task Force directive (IATF Resolution 87 s. 2020) response by different agencies such as the DTI, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Tourism (DOT).

Through the said program, government agencies adopted the StaySafe.ph as the official contact tracing app of the government and monitored compliance of establishments with health protocols.
