TEN daycare workers from Mankayan, Benguet, have completed a 45-day training on Early Childhood Education Program (ECEP) in Pangasinan.
Mankayan is a pilot area for the Early Childhood Care and Development Council's program to train daycare workers to be child development teachers.
Mankayan has a National Child Development Center, also known as "bulilit center", which is located in Barangay Bulalacao.
The daycare workers from Mankayan who trained in Pangasinan are Keithly Grace B. Basanio, Jelaine U. Letac, Ellen B. Gano, Joan M. Julian, Efrena K. Dio-alan, Marietha B. Bulay, Rosalina G. Bugtong, Olley Anne O. Angawa, Aurora B. Cabungtan and Brigida P. Banwagen.
Thirty-nine teachers from six other municipalities also took part in the training.
The six ECED courses credited participants with 18 units in Early Childhood Education leading to a master's or bachelor's degree.
The training was held from May 11 to June 20 at the Pangasinan State University- Bayambang Campus. (Juliet P. Daganos)
