5,012 Magalang residents get 1st dose of Covid-19 vaccine

SOME 5,012 residents of Magalang, Pampanga have received their first dose of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) vaccine, the local government said Thursday, July 1.

A total of 1,004 individuals have also received their second dose of the vaccine, it added.

All of these belong to the priority groups A1, A2, and A3, said the Municipal Health Office.

"Umabot na sa 5,012 ang total first dose vaccinations na isinagawa sa ating bayan habang nasa isang libo at apat 1,004 naman ang second dose vaccinations laban sa Covid-19 batay sa pinakahuling ulat ng Municipal Health Office," it said.

Because of the limited supplies of vaccines, the Pampanga Provincial Government decides which groups will be prioritized in the inoculation, according to the local government.

"Ang Pamahalaang Pamprobinsya ng Pampanga ang nagdedesisyon kung anong priority groups ang babakunahan ng ating health office dahil narin sa limitadong bilang ng bakuna," it said.

Mayor Romy Pecson urged his constituents belonging to the priority groups to avail themselves of the vaccination program.
