THE Department of Health-Center of Health and Development (DOH-CHD) in Zamboanga Peninsula received Thursday, July 1, the 15th shipment of vaccines as the government vaccination rollout against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) continue in the region.
Dr. August Manolo Alpichi, DOH-Zamboanga Peninsula assistant director, said the 15th shipment consisted of 17,400 doses of Sinovac vaccines for the inoculation of A1, A2, and A3 priority groups.
The A1 comprised of the health care workers and frontliners, A2 the senior citizens, and A3 persons with comorbidities aged 18 to 69.
Alpichi said they already received a total of 343,600 doses of vaccines since the vaccination rolled out in the region in March this year.
Of the total, 244,200 doses, including the 15th shipment, were Sinovac; Pfizer, 35,100; AstraZeneca, 62,800; and Sputnik V, 1,500.
The DOH-Zamboanga Peninsula data showed that a total of 170,191 individuals have already received their first dose while 60,396 got their second dose.
The data showed that 48,744 of the 170,191 who received their first dose belonged to the A1 priority group, while 52,381 were from the A2 and 69,066 under A3.
Of the total who got their second dose, 37,867 fell under A1, 12,508 belonged to A2, and 10,021 were from the A3 priority group. (SunStar Zamboanga)
