Satellite voter registration in City Mall-Mandalagan set July 3

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Bacolod City will conduct satellite voter registrations at the City Mall-Mandalagan in the city Saturday, July 3, 2021.

City Election Registrar Kathrina Cana said Friday, July 2, that they will hold satellite registration at City Mall-Mandalagan for the May 2022 national and local elections.

The satellite registration will start from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Registrants should bring their valid government identification cards (ID) with pictures and signatures, as well as an original and photocopy of their birth certificate.

If their residence is not stated on the ID, they should bring proof of their residence or billing statements, like water bills or electric bills.

Cana said their satellite registration in Barangay Alangilan was canceled because of the Covid-19 in said barangay.

She said they also have a pending request from Councilor Ayesha Villaflor to conduct a special registration for youth voters in Bacolod City.

"We will wait for the approval of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) first for the conduct of the satellite registration since there's a mass gathering," she added.

Moreover, Comelec will also hold election registration board (ERB) hearing for the new registrants. They will evaluate the documents of the new registrants.

After the ERB hearing, Comelec will review their records to determine the deceased voters and those who transferred residence.
