Kauswagan records most number of active cases in oro

BARANGAY Kauswagan is the village with the most number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro as of July 5, recording a total of 91 active cases.

The cumulative number of active cases in the city has gone down to 889, of which 298 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and other hospitals in the city, and 591 were outpatients.

According to the report of city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya, following Barangay Kasuwagan are Barangays Carmen, recording 79 active cases; Balulang with 76 active cases; Bulua with 72 cases; Iponan with 55 cases; Patag with 48 cases; Macasandig with 46 cases; Bugo with 42 cases; Lumbia with 41 cases; and Lapasan with 40 cases.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro as of July 5 is now at 67,462, of which 54,533 received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and 12,929 are fully vaccinated.

According to Mayor Oscar Moreno, of the 67,462 vaccinated individuals, 17,848 are frontline healthcare workers (A1 group), 28,696 are senior citizens (A2 group), 20,723 are persons with comorbidities (A3 group), and 195 are essential frontline workers (A4 group).
