A 77-YEAR-OLD farmer who is facing five counts of rape was arrested in a joint police operation in Pastrana, Leyte Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
Francisco Bayona, married, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant dated June 11, 2021.
He was identified as the number 3 most wanted person in Eastern Visayas.
Judge Irene Pontejo of Regional Trial Court-Branch 7 in Tacloban did not recommend bail for the temporary liberty of the accused.
Police brought Bayona to the municipal station for documentation prior to turnover to the court of origin. (SunStar Philippines)
