CEBU City Mayor Edgardo Labella has instructed the Department of General Services to augment the fuel allocation of the barangays in the south district following the closure of the transfer station in Barangay Inayawan.
City Administrator Floro Casas said Atty. June Maratas will provide additional fuel allocation to the southern barangays.
The barangays in the south district used the transfer station in Barangay Inayawan since the landfill is located on the northern side of the city.
Casas said the barangays in the southern district will have to directly transport the garbage to the sanitary landfill in Barangay Binaliw.
There are around 34 barangays from the south district. (JJL)
