CebPac airs support to IATF rules on vaccinated persons

CEBU Pacific (CEB) aired support to the decision of provinces that no longer require a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test from a fully-vaccinated person and accept vaccination card as a travel requirement.

Passengers are considered fully vaccinated at least 14 days after having received the second dose in a two-dose series, or at least 14 days after having received a single-dose vaccine.

To date, three destinations in Cebu Pacific’s network have local government orders that adopted the IATF resolution, these are Bacolod, Cauayan City of Isabela province, and Tacloban.

Cotabato now accepts vaccination card as a travel requirement for fully-vaccinated individuals. Local news outlets have said Cebu, Davao, and Iloilo were expected to follow the IATF resolution.

Travelers were strongly urged to always check with the LGU of their destination for the latest updates.

“We are in full support of these guidelines. Right now, we are waiting for local government units that will issue their respective Executive Orders adopting the IATF Resolution 124-B and look forward to welcoming more passengers on board,” said Alex Reyes, chief strategy officer at Cebu Pacific.

"We believe this is an opportunity for all stakeholders to collaborate as we work toward the same goal – and that is to safely reopen domestic travel again,” added Reyes.

CEB has continued to implement a multi-layered approach to safety and has been rated 7/7 stars by airlineratings.com for its Covid-19 compliance. Passengers are also constantly reminded to register in the Department of Transportation's Traze App for a more efficient contact tracing process.
