FILIPINO investors from here and abroad can now easily apply to become a member or apply for a loan through the Cebu People’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative ( People’s Coop) website.
Macario Quevedo, chief executive officer of People’s Coop, said they are ready to be part of and embrace various changes under the new normal.
“We strengthened our members’ communication. That’s why we put up our own online office at https://new.mycoop.ph/. We strengthened our website for it to cater to their needs,” he said.
Instead of going to their physical offices, potential and existing members can now transact on the website.
If members and interested individuals have inquiries, People’s Coop has a 24-hour manned chatbox to further make the coop accessible to the mobile-first community.
“Most of those who are in their cellphones can now contact us anytime, anywhere because we have a dedicated local number that is manned not by a robot but one of our staff,” Quevedo said.
