FORMER Bombo Radyo Philippines Bacolod anchor Jose Lizael "Nonoy" Lampines will assume Saturday, July 10, the presidency of the Rotary Club of Bacolod-East (RCBE) being the 39th Club President of the club.

He will succeed outgoing Club President Belinda Siason Gochuico who served the club well despite the big challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Incoming president Nonoy will be serving for a year with a theme: "Serve to Change Lives."

His fellow incoming club officers and directors are rotarian John Deles, incoming Vice President; Past President Philip Araneta, Secretary; PP Alberto Rafael Arceo III, MPHF; Atty. Siason-Gochuico, Immediate Past President; PP Ricardo Albayda, PHF, Protocol Officer; PP Rafael Simon, PHF, club Ctrainer; incoming Directors Gorgonio Hojilla, Club Administration; Joemarie Gochuico, Membership; PP Carla N. Cañet, Public Image; PP Elsie Jolingan, Service Projects; PP Sonya Verdeflor, The Rotary Foundation and PP Maricar Octaviano, Youth Services.

Special Committee Chairpersons include PP Franklin Fuentebella, MPHF, Resource Generation; Rotarian Rhoderick Samonte, PHF, Environmental Services; PP Belinda Siason Gochuico, Legal Services and PP Miguel Sarabia, PHF, Medical Services.

Considering that Bacolod City is still under the general community quarantine (GCQ), the face-to-face turnover rites are discouraged as Covid-19 cases are still gaining, thus, the turnover between incoming President Lampines and outgoing President Siason-Gochuico will be done online.

Rotary District 3850 Governor Edwin G. To, RFMD, will serve as the guest of honor and speaker.

Nonoy, as fondly called by his family, friends, and colleagues, is currently working as a professor at Carlos Hilado Memorial State College and also has his radio program with a different radio station.

He is married to Arlene "Inday" Lampinez and was blessed with two offsprings, Zarl Patreech Aldwin, 23 years old, and Zillea Phey Alreen, 16 years old.

He hopes to lead the club in bringing about the goal of changing lives.
