A TOP official of Philippine cycling has cited the Clark as an ideal venue for sports events.

“Clark is the perfect choice for us, and it is really the best destination when it comes to cycling,” Philippine National Cycling Coach Ednalyn Hualda said during the second day of the Philcycling National Trials in Clark Freeport.

Hualda, who is also the deputy race director of Philcycling, cited the suitability of Clark as a sports venue especially for cyclists and bikers.

“Clark is the most accessible from all other venues, that is why it became our number one choice when we were thinking about the venue that we can choose for our trials. The federation also agreed that Clark will be the perfect choice for us,” she said.

Hualda likewise lauded the support and efforts provided by the officials and personnel of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) in hosting their event.

She said their coordination with CDC-Tourism Promotions Division has greatly helped in organizing the event.

Hualda also expressed gratitude to CDC President and Chief Executive Officer Manuel Gaerlan, CDC Security Services Group Vice President Sheldon Jacaban, and to CDC-TPD Manager Noemi Julian, saying their support ensured the safety and security of all bikers and delegates in the two-day cycling activity.

The cycling coach is also looking forward to conducting more cycling trials and competitions in Clark in the future.

Philcycling Race Director Lorenzo “Jun” Lomibao Jr. also expressed his appreciation to CDC officials and personnel.

The first day of the Philcycling National Trials kicked off on July 10, 2021, featuring competition categories such as Individual Time Trial for Men and Women, and Criterium for Men and Women. For its last and second day, July 11, 2021, the competition highlighted the road race for men and women categories.
