SOME 50 Fernandinos received P10,000 cash assistance last Friday, July 9, through the “Sampung Libong Pag-Asa” program of Representative Alan Peter Cayetano.
The event, streamed live on social media, was part of Cayetano’s advocacy to provide Filipino families with financial aid to help them with their basic needs and revive their sources of income through small businesses.
Meanwhile, Mayor Edwin Santiago and Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin thanked Cayetano for providing practical and sustainable solutions to curb the effects felt by those most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his message, Cayetano, a former House Speaker, also committed to Santiago to choose about 1,000 Fernandinos for his “Alan Sari-Sari Store Community” project to empower small sari-sari store owners and entrepreneurs in San Fernando.
More than 400 beneficiaries in Pampanga and Tarlac received the “10k Ayuda” on Friday, July 9.
Cayetano also announced some 115 online winners of the same amount. (PR)
