90 new Covid-19 cases reported over the weekend

CORONAVIRUS infections in Cagayan de Oro have reached 10,693 after the city logged 90 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases over the weekend, all of which are local transmissions.

The City Health Office said of the 90 new cases, 44 were local index cases, 36 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, four were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and six were mortalities.

The active cases in Cagayan de Oro have gone up to 1,042, of which 338 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and 704 were outpatients.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 57 new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 9,164.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 505.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated confirmed coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro has reached 1,025, according to the report of city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya on Monday, July 12.

Retuya said of the 1,025 vaccinees, 679 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 255 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 75 with Pfizer, 14 with Sputnik V, and three Sinopharm.

Of the 679 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 492 individuals are experiencing mild symptoms, 142 are asymptomatic, 41 have moderate symptoms, and four are severe cases.

Among the 255 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 173 individuals have mild symptoms, 60 are asymptomatic, 21 have moderate symptoms, and one is a severe case.
