RESIDENTS of Candaba town who were severely affected by ongoing pandemic on Monday, July 12, received financial aid from national lawmakers.

A cash assistance amounting to P3,000 each was received by some 2,000 Candabeños from the Office of Senator Bong Go through Patrol Partylist Representative Jorge Bustos.

"To provide relief, support, and assistance to families whose livelihoods were affected by Covid-19, the national government, in coordination with Department of Social Welfare and Development," said Bustos, who spearheaded the distribution.

He expressed hope that the cash grant will help recipients revive or start a new livelihood that will provide for their families.

Mayor Rene Maglanque, for his part, expressed gratitude to Bustos, Go and President Rodrigo Duterte for extending assistance to his kabalens.

"Pandemic hit hard on every one of us so any kind of assistance, especially like this, is very much helpful and appreciated," he said.

The mayor urged beneficiaries to use of the money wisely so they can flourish and provide for the even the basic needs of their family.
