Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro now at 9,266

THE total number of people who have recovered from coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cagayan de Oro has reached 9,266 after 120 city residents are now tagged as "recovered."

The City Health Office has also recorded 43 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative number of confirmed infections to 10,736.

Of the 43 new local cases, 29 were local index cases, 10 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, three were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and one Apor with link.

Cagayan de Oro logged 963 active cases, 343 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 620 were outpatients.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus-positive vaccinated individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 1,038, city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya reported.

According to Retuya, of the 1,038 vaccinees, 689 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 256 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 76 with Pfizer, 14 with Sputnik V, and three Sinopharm.

Of the 689 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 500 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms, 144 were asymptomatic, 41 were moderate cases, and four were severe cases.

Among the 256 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 174 individuals had mild symptoms, 60 were asymptomatic, 21 had moderate symptoms, and one was a severe case.
