Capitol inspects housing project for quake victims in Porac

VICE Governor Lilia Pineda and Second District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo led the inspection of the 37 housing units built by the Provincial Government of Pampanga for the Aeta community in Porac town.

The houses are intended for those affected by the 6.1-magnitude quake in 2019. A total of 37 units have been completed with a measurement of 63 square meters each.

Pineda said the houses will provide a more stable dwelling for the Aeta families in the area.

Early this month, the National Housing Authority (NHA) met with Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda as they discussed the ongoing and soon-to-be implemented projects of the agency in Pampanga.

The matters discussed include the P20-million fund that will be used for the construction of 40 housing units for indigenous peoples in Porac town. These are in addition to the 37 units built by the Provincial Government for those affected by the earthquake in April 2019 in Porac’s mountain communities.

The NHA's plan to build 1,000 houses for Informal Settler Families in Lubao town that will be affected by the Manila Bay Cleanup Program was also discussed with government leaders.
