148 new Covid-19 cases reported over the weekend

CORONAVIRUS infections in Cagayan de Oro have reached 11,131 after the city logged 148 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases over the weekend, all of which are local transmissions.

The City Health Office said of the 148 new cases, 55 were local index cases, 69 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 15 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), five were Apors with link, and four were mortalities.

The active cases in Cagayan de Oro has reached 976, of which 331 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and 645 were outpatients.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 90 new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 9,639.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 516.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated confirmed coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro has reached 1,131, according to the report of city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya on Monday, July 19.

Retuya said of the 1,131 vaccinees, 750 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 275 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 86 with Pfizer, 17 with Sputnik V, and three Sinopharm.

Of the 750 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 549 individuals are experiencing mild symptoms, 148 are asymptomatic, 49 have moderate symptoms, and four are severe cases.

Among the 275 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 188 individuals have mild symptoms, 64 are asymptomatic, 22 have moderate symptoms, and one is a severe case.
