John Wilson put on display his all-around skills as he notched the 2021 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup’s first-ever triple-double in Clarin’s 98-65 rout of the Iligan City Archangels on Tuesday evening at the Pagadian City Gymnasium.

Wilson, the reigning MPBL MVP, stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists as Sto. Niño grabbed the solo lead in the standings with a perfect 4-0 win-loss record.

Clarin got the party started early as they cruised to a 29-11 first quarter lead, raised it to a high of 33 and never looked back on in the wire-to-wire victory.

Joseph Eriobu manned the middle with ferocity as he had an impressive performance of 16 points and six rebounds, while Carlo Lastimosa punched in 15 markers. Pamboy Raymundo also had 13 points and eight assists while Jayvee Marcelino came off the bench and produced 12 points and four rebounds.

Joel Lee Yu and Wilson Baltazar got their normal numbers with 15 and 13 points, respectively, but a shot just a combined 10-of-27 from the field.

The Archangels remain winless in this tournament at 0-5. (JNP)
