Active Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro rise to 1,010

THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro has noted an increase in the number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases and active infections.

The number of active Covid-19 cases in the city has risen to 1,010.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, the City Health Office recorded 117 new cases, 54 of which are local index cases, 43 are local cases with link, 10 are local authorized person outside residence (Apor), two are Apors with link, six are persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), and two mortalities.

This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 11,302.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, were composed of 344 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 665 outpatients, and one ROF/LSI.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 27 Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 9,772.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 520.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated confirmed coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro has reached 1,178, according to the report of city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya.

Retuya said of the 1,178 vaccinees, 781 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 283 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 90 with Pfizer, 21 with Sputnik V, and three Sinopharm.

Of the 781 coronavirus-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 575 individuals are experiencing mild symptoms, 151 are asymptomatic, 51 have moderate symptoms, and four are severe cases.

Among the 283 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 193 individuals have mild symptoms, 66 are asymptomatic, 23 have moderate symptoms, and one is a severe case.
